Russ Olsen - Camp Director
Russ is the founder of the Beginner camp. He is a physical education and health teacher. He is currently the Head Varsity Coach at Valley Center High School in the San Diego area. He has Coached Varsity Lacrosse for 27 years as a Head Coach. He has four (4) California State High School Lacrosse Championships under his belt. Two as a player with Novato HS 1980 & 1981 and one as a coach with Patrick Henry HS in 1995 and the other with Serra HS in 1998.
Russ is a member of three (3) Lacrosse Hall of Fames...
His HS...the Novato Lacrosse Hall of Fame, his colleg,...the San Diego State Lacrosse Hall of Fame and his community... the San Diego Chapter of United States Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
He is the All Time Leading Scorer at San Diego State with 348 points and his number "21" is the only number retired from the San Diego State Lacrosse program. He has taught over
2000 players the game of lacrosse.

Face-Off Camp Director
Scott is the former Head Coach at Downey
HS in Los Angeles. He played his collegiate lacrosse at the University of California, Santa Barbara and Gannon College. He is currently the assistant coach at Claremont-McKenna Colleges. He is a former face-off specialist from the professional outdoor league. He played on Team Argentina in the World Games in Denver in July of 2014. Scott is our resident face-off instructor and has been teaching at
our camps for over 10 years. He is a great teacher of lacrosse.
Masato Takeshita
Masato played his HS lacrosse at Serra high school in San Diego where he was an All-Star midfielder. He went on to play college lacrosse at the University of California at Santa Barbara. At UCSB, he became one of the top face-off specialists in the League. He is our division 2 face-off specialist. His quiet demeanor helps him get his teaching points across in a way they can grasp. This is his 9th year at our camp.
