FACE-OFF CAMP FORMAT
Our Face-off camp also includes the teaching camp in the camp fee. Face-Off specialists arrive a day before the teaching camp players and spend 3 sessions learning face-off specific skills.
These skills include the clamp, the rake, the bull, the lift,
countering moves, playing the ball after the face, working with wingmen and quickness technique. As the main camp starts drills, face-off players will be integrated into the teaching camp along with the face-off coaches. The play at our camp is controlled and structured. We do not allow body checking at any time during camp. Over aggressive play is dealt with immediately.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our Face-Off camp has two divisions
Division 1 - High School
This division is for players in grades 9 - 12.
Many college coaches will be on staff for this division. This division handles all levels of experience, from novice to
advanced.  If a 9th grader is brand new to the game and is struggling in division 1, he can be moved to division 2 if the staff and the Director feel it will benefit the player. All players in this division will be assigned 2 to a team for game play at the end of the week. An All-Star team will be selected from this group to
play in the Division one, Staff versus Camper game. All
Division 1 players will participate in skill contests during
one of the sessions, for awards.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Division 2
Middle/Elementary School
This division is for players in grades 4 - 8.
We have some of the best teaching coaches in this division.
This division handles all levels of experience, from novice to advanced as well. If an 8th grader is very advanced in his skills,
he can be moved up to division 1 to play against better players. The staff and the Director make it their mission to get each player in the right place so they properly learn and have some success.. All players in this division will be assigned to a team for game
play at the end of the week. An All-Star team will be selected
from this group to play in the Division two, Staff versus Camper game. All Division 2 players will participate in skill contests
during one of the sessions, for prizes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our Director and our staff go above and beyond what most camps do in regards to evaluating player skill level. It is vital to the player that he is in the right group when learning. Our first 3 sessions at camp is spent doing face-off specific skills. The 4th session is spent evaluating players during drills so we can match them with the proper teaching groups and move them immediately if their experience and skill level dictates. This behind the scenes discipline is what sets us apart from the rest. We hope to see your son at face-off camp this summer. This is the only face-off specific camp in the West so you better register early as we only take
16 players in this camp (8 HS level and 8 MS Level)
Take a chance with us, we won't let you down.
