We live in the University Village Apartments on the Campus of California State University, San Marcos. The players will get to experience what it is like to live in a dormitory setting on a college campus. The air-conditioned units house either four or six campers. Each room has its own bathrooms and common area. All players must bring their own bedding, either sheets and a blanket or a sleeping bag, as the University does not provide them. They do provide a pillow but you might want to bring a pillow case. Each player will be issued a room key card that lets them secure their room when they are on the field, eating a meal or hanging out at the camp store or Dorm pool. A lost room key card costs $40.00 but we issue each player a lanyard and this helps them keep track of their key during the week.
The dorm has a large game room in the lobby level that the players can use and is complete with a foosball table, air hockey, a ping pong table and several XBOX and PlayStation unit televisions. You can bring your own games or check out ours from the camp store. We have a camp store on the 2nd level of the dorm where players can come to see the latest in lacrosse equipment, apparel and accessories. They can also buy snacks and refreshments from the camp store using cash or a camp account (set up at check-in).
The players, as well as the staff, will take all meals at the dorm. The staff will also be roomed on each floor, among the players rooms, for proper supervision. We supervise the players at all times.
There is a pool attached to the dorm and the campers can use it when it is open and a staff member is on duty. | | |
