Russ Olsen - Camp DirectorRuss is the founder of the Face-Off camp. He is a physical education and health teacher. He has Coached Varsity Lacrosse for 26th years as a Head Coach. He has two (2) California State High School Lacrosse Championships under his belt both as a player and as a coach. Two as a player with Novato HS 1980 & 1981 and one with Patrick Henry HS in 1995 and the other with Serra HS in 1998. Russ is a member of the Novato Lacrosse Hall of Fame, the San Diego State Lacrosse Hall of Fame and the San Diego Chapter of United States Lacrosse Hall of Fame. He is the All Time Leading Scorer at San Diego State University (348 pts) and his number "21" is the only number retired from the San Diego State Lacrosse program. He has taught over 2000 players the game of lacrosse. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Adam Wirtz - Defense Camp Director Adam played his Collegiate Lacrosse at Arizona State University where he played long pole midfield. A formidable player, his coaching style is even better. He started as a camper at camp and he turned into one of our best coaches and he has never looked back. He is now coaching the Gilbert HS Varsity in Phoenix, Arizona. Adam is in his 12th year at camp. Dallas Hartley Dallas is the Head Coach at Chapman University. He played his HS Lacrosse at San Dieguito Hs in San Diego. He played his Collegiate lacrosse at Sonoma State University where is was the most dominant long stick midfielder to ever play in the WCLL. He has built the Chapman Lacrosse Program into a top 1o ranked National powerhouse. We are lucky to have such a fantastic coach at Great Western. He is in his 9th year. Alex Siegel Alex played his HS lacrosse as a team captain at Canyon Crest Academy HS in San Diego. He is currently a Long & Short Stick Midfielder at Chapman University. He is one of our new coaching prodigies. He enthusiasm and drive to be the best at all things he does sets him apart from other coaches. He spent last summer coaching in Isreal. He is one of our coaching prodigies. He is in his 3rd year with Great Western. |
