GOALIE CAMP STAFF

Russ is the founder of the Goalie camp.
He is a  physical education and health teacher. He is currently the Head Varsity Coach at Valley Center High School in the San Diego area. He has Coached Varsity Lacrosse for 27 years as a Head Coach. He has four (4) California State High School Lacrosse Championships under his belt. Two as a player with Novato HS 1980 & 1981 and one as a coach with Patrick Henry HS in 1995 and the other with Serra HS in 1998.
Russ is a member of three (3) Lacrosse Hall of Fames...
His HS...the Novato Lacrosse Hall of Fame. 
His college...the San Diego State Lacrosse Hall of Fame
and his community... the San Diego Chapter of United States
                                                                       Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
He is the All Time Leading Scorer at San Diego State with 348 points and his number "21" is the only number retired  from the San Diego State Lacrosse program. He has taught over
2000 players the game of lacrosse.

    Goalie Camp Director - Division 1
         Justin Boland

Justin played his High School Lacrosse in San Francisco at powerhouse, Saint Ignatius Prep. He played his College Lacrosse at San Diego State University. 
Justin has a PHD in Psychology and has a great intensity in his coaching. He teaches the goalie position in a way that young goalies can understand and will excel. He is a great teacher and his enthusiasm is infectious. He is in his 5th year at Great Western.

Goalie Camp Director - Division 2
Maxx Cohen
Maxx Has been coaching in the San Diego area for over 10 years. He has coached at Grossmont HS, Granite Hills HS and Valhalla HS, all at the HS level. He also coaches youth travel teams in the summer. He is a fantastic teacher of the position of goalie and
that is why he is the director for the younger goalies at our camp.
He is in his 3rd year at Great Western
